Fetter Health Care Network Celebrates Grand Opening

CHARLESTON- Fetter Health Care Network celebrated the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the new Elijah Wright Health Center in Cross, SC. The public was invited to attend the ground-breaking on Saturday, August 9, 2014, 10am -12pm at, 1681 Old Highway 6, Cross, SC 29436.

The new site is named in honor of Mr. Elijah Wright, a community leader , small business owner in Cross and a member of Fetter's Board of Directors for over 20 years until his death in 2012.  Mr. Wright was instrumental in having the original Cross Health Center established in Cross.

"The Cross community has waited a longtime to see this day and we are very pleased to see this very important project finally completed.  This new site will enable Fetter to expand services and provide more access to affordable, quality health care to the residents of Northern Berkeley County," says Reuben J. Pettiford, Chief Executive Officer.

Fetter Health Care Network provides quality health care to children and adults who are insured, uninsured or recipients of Medicaid or Medicare through eight locations in Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton and Dorchester counties.

Services provided are: * Primary care for pediatrics and adults * Diabetic education * OB/GYN * Free Pap smear and mammogram for women 40 - 64 * Specialist referrals * Cancer screenings * HIV screenings *STDscreenings * Immunizations * Pharmacy
