HopeHealth, Carolina Health Centers Achieve ACE Gold Status

posted on Thursday, March 29, 2018

Congratulations to both HopeHealth and Carolina Health Centers for achieving Gold Status with NACHC's Advocacy Centers of Excellence (ACE) Program!!! Nationally, there are only 23 centers which have reached this level.

"I'm thrilled to learn that HopeHealth has reached Gold status; the first center in South Carolina to achieve this honor. It is the result of dedicated work by our employees," said Carl Humphries, HopeHealth CEO.

"NACHC has designed the ACE checklists to be attainable, but you definitely have to put in the work, which includes cultivating enthusiasm with staff and reminding them that their emails, calls, and social media posts matter. Our staff shared my excitement and many offices have requested signs to post in waiting areas. It's amazing to know they are just as excited and proud of our Gold ACE Status as I am," said Rachel Davis, Marketing and Development Manager at Carolina Health Centers.

An ACE CHC has achieved certain measures of advocacy success and demonstrated an on-going commitment to establishing advocacy as an organizational priority. There are three levels of ACE status - Bronze, Silver, and Gold- each designation is valid for two years. There is a checklist of items a CHC must complete in order to become an ACE. Qualifications for Gold Status include 100 percent staff and board participation as health center advocates, and a 20 percent participation rate in at least one NACHC alert - such as the recent campaign to fix the health center funding cliff.

Well done to both centers for this amazing accomplishment!!!
